Michael Walter Louis "Mike" Yumet , 62, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2023. He passed peacefully in the hospital after battling to recover from a spleen injury. Mike was born in Columbus, Ohio but was a long-time resident of Monroe, North Carolina. He was a very talented carpenter and loved what he did. He taught so much to so many.

A celebration of life service will be held 12:00 PM, Saturday October 7, 2023, in the Holland Funeral Service, Winston Chapel, 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112, The family receiving friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Mike is survived by his 6 children, Tiffany, Heather, Michael, Janelle, Alan, Sarah, eighteen grandchildren, Rylee, Isabella, Lily, Felicia, Olivia, Alexandria, Gemma, Chloe, Brionna, Louis, Sophia, PatPat, Rocky, Ava, Lola, Mikey, Xander, Samuel, his wife Kathryn, three sisters, Shelly, Marcy, Missy, 2 nephews, Adam, Skylar, 3 nieces Brandy, Nikki, Haley, and many more family members and friends.

He was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was always smiling, and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all. We are comforted in knowing that he went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ where he was reunited with his mother and father, Louis Yumet & Janet Spencer.
