Michael Wayne Lowe passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023, surrounded by his family. Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to those who knew and loved him. He was born on October 21, 1962 to Wayne and Shirley Lowe. Michael grew up in Huntersville, North Carolina, and graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in 1981.

For the last 10 years he was employed by King's Greenhouse - Garden Center, and prior to that, Young's Garden Center, where he expanded his love of trees and shrubs and spent a lot of his time talking with customers who either shared his passion for landscaping or were interested in learning. He also maintained a lawn care business since the late 1990s. His true love of his job, however, was building relationships with customers, co-workers, vendors, truck drivers, neighbors, anyone who would stop and chat.

Michael is survived by his wife Dayna; son Stephen Lowe and daughter-in-law Joy; daughters Kasey Lowe and Jessica Lowe; and grandchildren Emma, Elsie, and Judson Lowe.

Michael is also survived by his parents, Wayne and Shirley Lowe; sister Greta Lowe Jordan and her husband Roger, and their children Samuel Jordan and Kendal Jordan.

He was welcomed into heaven by his granddaughter Melbourne Rae Lowe.

Michael's love of music and his skill on the bass guitar was woven into every aspect of his life, and we will continue to honor him and remember him by enjoying the things that brought him so much happiness.
