Lester Frank Bartlett (Frankie) our amazing grandfather, was born on October 15, 1946, in the beautiful city of Charlotte, NC. From the moment people met him, they knew they had someone truly special in their lives. Frankie's sense of humor and infectious smile were truly one-of-a-kind. He had a way of lighting up a room with his laughter and bringing joy to those around him. His funny jokes and constant smile will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His selflessness and caring nature was unmatched. He always put others before himself, spreading love and kindness wherever he went.

One of his favorite pastimes was watching Jeopardy! He had an incredible knowledge of trivia and would often impress us with his quick answers. And let's not forget his love for coffee! He would start his day with a steaming cup of joe, savoring every sip. And when it came to sandwiches, nothing beat a classic bologna sandwich. It was his go-to comfort food.

Frankie was the son of Lester Floyd Bartlett and Mamie Kell, and he carried their legacy of love and compassion with him throughout his life. He was the father of his late son Frank "Kell" Bartlett. He was not only a grandfather but a guiding light for his seven grandchildren: Katie, Dylan, Kane, Kendra, Mel, Alycia, and Vanessa. He also adored his five great-granddaughters, four great-grandsons, and the excitement of another great-grandchild on the way. He was also the great-great grandfather to two.

On February 19, 2024, our hearts were heavy as we said goodbye to Frankie. The memories we shared with him will forever be etched in our hearts. He was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and a beacon of love. We will miss him dearly, but we find solace in knowing that his spirit will live on through the love he shared with all of us.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00pm until 12:45pm.
