Kenneth Roger Mills, 93, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021. He was born June 21, 1928 to the late Harrison Mills and Mary Heath Mills. Ken is also preceded in death by his son, Craig Mills, and stepdaughter, Debra Roller, and 11 siblings. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Lee Park Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 1:45pm at the church prior to the beginning of the service. Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Arla Mills; children, Kenneth Mills, Nora Mills, Sue Hewitt, Debbie Collar, Paula Ward (Don); stepchildren, Carla Longden (Grant), Diane Albritton (Will); son-in-law, Chris Roller; one brother; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ken was a man who loved his family. He worked hard most days of his life to ensure his family was well taken care of. When he was not working, he enjoyed doing arts and crafts. He found joy in many of his crafts, but he especially enjoyed wood working. Ken could be found watching old western movies; GRIT was his favorite channel. He loved being outside in any manner, whether it was working in his garden, doing yard repair, or just simply relaxing in the sun. Ken proudly served his country during the Korean War from 1950 until 1952. In previous years, he also volunteered and worked maintenance in his church, Morgan Mill Baptist. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Union County and Lee Park Baptist Church. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Mills Family.
