JV Helms, 90, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024. JV was born July 31,1933 in Cabarrus County, a son to Arthur and Annie Mason Helms.

Funeral services for JV will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from the graveside in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

JV is survived by his wife of 10 years, Joan Flowe Helms, two sons, Rick Helms (Brenda), Jeff Helms (Nanda), two stepdaughters, Cindy Sherrin, Melanie Sherrin, grandchildren, Pam Trull (Jay), Ashley Griffin (Jimmy), Krisie Windham (Cain), Katie Comer (Jeremy), Adrian Helms (TJ), David Norman, Brad Helms (Kendall), Jeremy Thomas, Eric Thomas, and seven great-grandchildren.
