Obituary

On Thursday, October 8, 2020 we lost our boy, John William Harris, God gave him to us for 25 years and he called him home this morning, I know his Daddy was waiting for him to take him home. John was born in Matthews, NC and was raised in Stallings, NC, where he resided with his mother, step-father, and Nana. He attended Sun Valley High School in Monroe, NC and was working in Landscape and construction. John was once described as a young man with an old soul, he loved his family and small group of friends with all his heart. He never met a stranger and was always there for anyone in need. He carried others troubles as they were his own. He loved anything outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, bonfires, and mudding. He was a country boy through and through. He loved all music, but old country songs were his favorite. He loved to play old records on his record player and sing to them. His love of animals, especially dogs, was shown to his dog "Baby Girl" a rescue pit, that he cared for until her last days. Johns faith in God was strong, deep, and private. And he believed that everyone should have the right to believe and worship as they choose. John 3:16 was his favorite verse . Anyone who knew John knew a beautiful soul that was bigger than this world. John is survived by his mother and stepfather,Tabitha Morris Moose and J. Richard Moose; Nana, Wanda Hargett Morris; uncles, Gary Randle Morris, and John "Bucky" Hugh Morris Jr.; aunt, Bonnie Harris Lehmuth; and step-brothers, James Todd Moose, and John Chad Moose John was preceded in passing by his father, Daniel Francis Harris; grandfathers, John Hugh Morris Sr., and William Arthur Harris; grandmother, Birdella Harris Diamond; great grandmother, Mary Hargett Stilwell; great grandfather, CW "Toby" Hargett; uncle, Barry Jackson Morris; and aunt, Myra Ellen (Morris) Padgett.
