Obituary

DOUCETTE, John Andrew "Jack" Formerly of Bedford, MA, passed away on December 9, in Charlotte, NC. Jack was born on August 20, 1968, to Joan Doucette (nee Donahue) and John Doucette.

He graduated from Acton-Boxborough High School in 1987 and enrolled in Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA where he earned a B.S. in Building Construction Technology and excelled in rugby. A few years after graduating from Wentworth, Jack moved to South Florida. He worked in construction and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the building and remodeling team for Publix Supermarkets.

In 1997, Jack met his wife, Sandra (nee Camarda), and they were married in 2000. They had two boys, Christopher and John, and remained in South Florida until 2015, when the family moved to Charlotte, NC.

Jack was most content in nature and exploring the outdoors. He fondly shared stories of his hiking and camping days in New Hampshire with his older brother, Brian, who passed in 2022. Jack quickly grew to love the Blue Ridge Mountains during his time in Charlotte, spending countless weekends in the peaceful embrace of its landscape.

Jack could be strong-willed and rebellious at times, but he had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand to help another. A quality he attributed to his mother, whom he adored and lost as a young boy. He is survived by his beloved wife (Sandra) and two wonderful sons (Christopher and John); his siblings, Kevin, Beth and Julie. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and acquaintances.

Jack will be missed, but we take comfort knowing he is at peace and in the loving arms of his mother, brother and friends who have passed before him.

In typical Jack fashion, there are no formal services planned, and certainly no pomp and circumstance. His loved ones will celebrate his life in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the summer of 2024.

Holland Funeral Service is caring for the Doucette family.
