Mr. John Thomas Ashfield Sr., 87, passed away December 18, 2021. Mr. Ashfield was born in Schuylkill, PA on November 24, 1934 to the late William and Philippine Brill Ashfield. A retired staff sergeant with the United States Air Force he proudly served our Country. Services will be held from the graveside at 2:00pm on January 10, 2021, at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Eva Ashfield; sons, John Ashfield Jr. (Pamela), and Thomas Ashfield; daughters, Carron Southon, and Cheri Newell; grandchildren, Joanne Corke, Carl Corke, Amy Stetkewicz, Alison Cunningham, Scott Southon, Ashley Beck, Noah Ashfield, Dawson Ashfield, and McKayla Ashfield; great-grandchildren, Tyler Corke, Ryan Corke, Keira Corke, Khloe Corke, Sam Corke, Parker Cunningham, Connor Southon, and Clara Southon. In addition to his parents Mr. Ashfield was preceded in passing by his siblings, Bill Ashfield, Jean Van-Horn, Betty Mensinger, Eddie Ashfield, and Dolly Ann Ashfield.
