Joe Neal Haigler, 77, passed away November 7, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Joe was born in Marshville, NC on September 7, 1943 to the late Claud and Nannie Haigler. Joe will be remembered for his love of God, his family and strong work ethic. Wherever he went, he was sure to see someone that he knew and everyone wanted to talk with Joe. Joe always loved cats. Smoky, and Bitsy were his fur babies. Joe loved his church, church family, and Sunday School Class. He served as deacon and usher. His hearts desire was to serve God's children. A visitation will be held Monday, November 9, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Austin Grove Baptist Church in Marshville, NC. A service to celebrate Joe's life will begin at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary. Rev. Leon Whitley and Rev. John Wood will be officiating. Joe will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Joe leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Carolyn James Haigler; daughter, Robin Haigler Nassef; son, Joseph Scott Haigler; grandchildren, Allison, Hailey, Khoury, Lindsey, and Kaylan; sister, Lois Shook (Johnny); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, Reece Haigler; sisters, Claudean Huggins, and Jeanette Haigler. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Austin Grove Baptist Church in Marshville, NC. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
