Jerry Christopher Hinson passed away at the young age of 51 on June 11, 2022. He was born in Monroe, NC, to Jerry and Patti Hinson on October 9, 1970. On February 15, 2022, he suffered cardiac arrest in Lenoir, NC, while working out of town. He was taken to Atrium Health, Concord, NC, where he then gained his angel wings four months later.
Everyone in town knew him as Chris, but his favorite names were Daddy and Pawpaw to his children and grandson.
Chris became an electrical contractor in 1998 and shared his passion of helping people by making this world a brighter place for 24 years.
He would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. You could say he lived his life hand in hand with 2 Corinthians 9: 6, which says, "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." Chris was generous to anyone who crossed his path daily. He loved with every ounce of his soul. Even his smile would light the room. His new grandson Caiden Jarvis was always his topic of conversation the last year of his life. He was so proud and spoiled him rotten every chance he could.
Meeting him at the Heaven's Gate was his Savior Jesus, his father Jerry Wilson Hinson, whom he loved and missed dearly, his grandparents Grad and Daisy Hinson, and Clayton and Evelyn Williams, along with numerous aunts and uncles.
Left behind to cherish his memory and honor his life are the following: his daughter Carlie (Eric Jarvis), one grandson Caiden Jarvis, his mother Patti Hammonds, sister Angela (Barney) Sikes, nephews Nick and Tony Albright, niece Jennifer Deese.
great nephews Nicolas, Aaron, Landon and Jace Albright, along with many loving aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held June 25, from 3-5 pm, at Holland Funeral Home while a Celebration of Life will be June 26 at 2:00 pm , also at Holland, followed by a graveside service at Lakeland Memorial.
Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
