On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, the Lord called Jeremy David Baker, age 48, to his Heavenly home. He was born on May 30, 1975, in Monroe, NC to David and Donna Baker.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Jeremy's life will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Holland Funeral Home chapel, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. Family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 11:00am until 12:45pm.  Jeremy will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service.

In honor of Jeremy,  he will be led by his trucking friends to the cemetery after the service. The family invites all those who would like to drive their semi-trucks to join Jeremy on his last ride to please arrive at the funeral home at least 30 minutes prior to the service so you can be put in line.

Jeremy was a humble, down-to-earth man, who loved the Lord and his family. He drove a tractor trailer truck for many years but stayed closer to home the older he got, especially after the birth of his grandson, who was the joy of his life. Easton looked for his pawpaw every day to come home and enjoyed going to the store with him for blue slushies. His sudden death has been a shock and leaves a void in our family. We know that God makes no mistakes, and we take comfort in knowing, for those who have trusted the Lord as their Savior, that" ...to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" and Jeremy is now with his Heavenly Father.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 24 years Frances; sons Colby Baker (Skylar), Tristan Boling (MaKayla) and Austin Stilwell; grandsons Easton Baker, Casey James Boling, and Bentley Stilwell; mother Donna Williams (Marvin) of Monroe; siblings Heather Helms (Ty) of Monroe, Misty Easler (George) of Mount Airy, Dorian Baker (Laura) of Linwood, Justin Baker of Monroe and Teaira Baker of Matthews; and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, David Baker, sister Nikki Baker, grandparents Harold and Hazel Griffin, and Harold and Emma Lou Baker, and father-in-law Alfred Thomas.
