Mr. James Theron Tarlton, 87, of Monroe, NC passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024. He was born May 9, 1936 to Oscar Lee and Myrtle Tomberlin Tarlton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Hayne Tarlton.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday April 18, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2518 Lancaster Highway, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Survivors are his daughter, Annette Tarlton Luther of Monroe, NC and sons, Michael Tarlton (Robin) and Jamie Tarlton (Sandy) of Monroe, NC. Grandchildren; Lauren Luther, Alex Luther (Casie), Rebecca Rorie (Kendall), Aaron Luther, Collin Tarlton, Jesse Tarlton, Skye Tarlton and Josh Starnes all of Monroe, NC. and 5 Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Brenda Helms of Monroe, NC and Patsy Taylor (Ronnie) of New London, NC.
