James "Jimmy" Stripling, 75, of Monroe, NC, passed away on August 29, 2023 .

James was predeceased by his son Patrick Stripling, and his mother Jane Newsome. He is survived by his children Paula Cataldo and her husband Joseph of Derry, NH, Michael Stripling and his wife Deborah of Derry, NH, James Urbanowicz and his wife Latasha of Gastonia, NC. He is also survived by a sister Tequila Newsome and her daughter Monica of Moultrie, GA. Jimmy is also survived by his grandchildren Anthony Cataldo, Kinsley and Brody Urbanowicz and Lauren Presson. Fred and Christopher Salmons. Amy (Arianna) Famiglietti and their children Addison and Jackson. Additionally, Jimmy is survived by his best friend, Crystal Rushing.

Jimmy was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served 4 years during the Vietnam War,. Jimmy worked most of his career in construction sales and prior to retirement he worked for Maxco in Monroe. Jimmy spent many years being involved with Piedmont High School both with the football team and helping to manage the concessions stand for sporting events.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Holland Funeral Service 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112.
