Mr. James Ervin Phifer, 85, passed away January 28, 2025. He was born July 10, 1939 to the late Wade and Geneva Phifer. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in passing by the mother of his children, Flonnie Carolyn Phifer.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Austin Grove Baptist Church, 5919 Austin Grove Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103. Mr. Phifer will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the church cemetery immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00pm until 2:45pm.

James is survived by his children, Cindy Pittman, Ricky Phifer (Pepsie), Victor Kim Phifer (Janet), and Teresa Judy; grandchildren, William Franklin Niven Jr. (Betsy), Ricky "Little Rick" Phifer (Amy), Cameron Phifer (Stephanie), Stephanie Benton (Brian), Tiffanie Feleciano (Nate), Jessica Phifer, Tyler Phifer (Nicole), Jordan Judy, and Alexis Judy; 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
