Mr. James "Cardell" McCoy, 95, of Stanfield, NC, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the age of 95. He was born on May 17, 1929, in Stanly County, NC, to Oscar Lee and Delaler Smith McCoy. He was a member of Love's Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. McCoy was retired from Transamerica Delaval Pump Division in Monroe, NC.

Cardell lived a loving life of "making memories" for his family and all those around him. He loved smiling and making others smile; he enjoyed life and compassionately gave to others with a kind heart.

Cardell is preceded in death by his cherished wife Betty Jane Little McCoy and most recently his son-in-law, Scott Duncan and stepson Ricky Long.

Cardell remarried and is survived by his loving wife Peggy Love Long.

Cardell is also survived by his children, stepchildren, and their spouses, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cardell was buried at  Love's Grove Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at 11:00AM at Holland Funeral Service 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC.
