James Garrison Elms Jr. "Jimmy", 52 of Monroe, NC passed away at his home on September 22, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Helms Elms; parents, James "Jimmy" Elms and Nancy Gaffney; daughters, Emily and Allison Elms; brothers, Chris Elms and Grayland Purcell (Melissa); stepdaughters, Hailee and Emily Scarborough; nieces, Emma Elms and Brynn Purcell; and nephew, Hunter Elms. Jimmy never met a stranger. He was always willing to lend a hand to everyone whether it was to someone he just met, friend or family. He will be greatly missed Services will be held from the graveside at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
