James (Jim) Francis Huben, 59, of Matthews, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 from a heart attack. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Robert and Margaret Huben. Jim graduated from Rider University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and spent most of his career as an IT Project Manager at AT&T, United HealthCare, and Humana.

Jim was raised in Piscataway, New Jersey, his favorite place in the world. A very athletic kid, he grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball. As an adult, Jim worked hard for his community as a councilman for the Township of Piscataway from 2001 to 2007.

He moved to North Carolina with his family in 2007. Over the years he enjoyed getting involved in his community, including working as a basketball referee for the local middle and high schools, participating in his HOA, and serving as a Faith Formation teacher at St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was very proud of all his daughters' accomplishments. Jim loved coaching them in softball and basketball, and cheering them on at their different sporting events from the sidelines.

Jim was predeceased by his parents and his beloved older brother, Dr. Robert Huben. He is survived by his three daughters, Amanda, Kelly, and Paige, who miss him dearly. Jim will be laid to rest in Piscataway, New Jersey. Throughout his life, Jim donated blood regularly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to the American Red Cross.
