James Calvin Greene Sr. (Jimmy)(74) passed away Friday, September 8, 2023, after a battle with dementia. He was born December 2, 1948, to the late Jesse Calvin Greene and Annie Lee Greene. He is survived by his wife Janet Greene, daughter Tammy Knight(Ken), sons Jamie and Jeff Greene, sisters Judy Baker(Mike), Wanda Headrick (Rick), brother Jesse Greene (Cindi) and Kenneth Greene, grandchildren Joseph and Brandon Smith, Zach Knight, and Ashlyn Greene as well as three great-grandchildren, Riley, Raylin and Liam. He worked at Vanguard Supreme until the age of 62. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

The celebration of life will be held at Antioch Baptist Church of Monroe, 6223 Love Mill Rd Monroe NC 28110, on September 23, 2023, from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.
