Mr. J Hue Rushing, 89, of Monroe NC, passed away on Tuesday August 8th, 2023.

Funeral services for J. Hue will be held 12:00 PM noon at Shiloh Advent Christian Church located at 3601 Sikes Mill Road Monroe NC 28110 with burial to follow with full military honors in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM on Saturday.

J Hue was born on December 31, 1933, son of the late Vance Fanander Rushing and Gertrude Simpson Rushing. He was a machinist and later plant manager at Scott Aviation for 38 years and enjoyed his work. He was a Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge #618 in Midland and also of Unionville Sam F. Keziah 535 American Legion. He loved to garden and ride his golf cart and in earlier years, was an avid deer hunter.

J. Hue is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Belva Rushing, and devoted son Tony Lee Rushing (Emily), three grandchildren, Matthew Lee Rushing, Dalton Wade Rushing(Serena) and Carli Brooke Herring(Kyle). He also had two great granddaughters, Sadie Brooke Herring and Taylor Hayden Herring.

In addition to his parents, J. Hue is preceded in death by brothers, Fanander Rushing, Raeford Rushing, Norman Rushing, and Larry Rushing and one sister, Mary Lee Medlin.
