Herbert Edward Bliss (Buster or Buck) dedicated Christian, devoted friend, brother, and father, passed away from a brief illness July 20, 2023. He was born December 7, 1948, in Monroe, North Carolina to parents that preceded him in death, Albert George and Myrtle Merritt Bliss. Former husband and cherished friend of Suzy Tucker and loving father to their son, Brian Bliss. Proud grandfather to Brian and Malia. He is survived by sisters, Judy Trull (Barney), Janet Sigmon (Ray) and Karen Hummell (Shane), many nieces, nephews, their spouses and children. He will be remembered for his vast knowledge of the bible, his caring and helpfulness to others, his healthy lifestyle and always giving his sisters a hard time, like brothers do.

Services will be held at Monroe Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3007 Weddington Road, Monroe, NC, 28110 on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2:00pm. With visitation prior from 1:00pm until 1:45pm. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Bliss Family.
