Gary Piner

Gary Piner, 48, of Lancaster, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord in early June 2025. Born on October 3, 1976, he was the son of the late Elton and Sandra Piner.

Gary is survived by his four children: Erica Piner, Hannah Piner, Haley Piner, and Evan Piner. His daughters stood by his side during his most difficult seasons, offering him strength, love, and unwavering grace. His son Evan carries forward his name and spirit. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, Micah Roberts and Rana Sanders, and his great-nephew, Naven Roberts — all of whom remain part of the family that shaped and surrounded him with love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Sandra Piner; his sister, Glenda Piner; his brother, Jerry Piner; and his nephew, Levi Sanders.

Gary's life was marked by hardship, but those who knew him saw a man with a kind heart, a gentle soul, and a deep love for his children. Though he faced many battles, his faith and the love of his family were constants that brought him peace. We take comfort in knowing he is now whole and free in the arms of Jesus.

A small service to celebrate Gary's life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Holland Funeral Home in Monroe, North Carolina.
