Gary "Shine" Curtis Pendry, 60, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020. He was born February 18, 1960 to the late Grace Sullivan Pendry and Virgil James Pendry Sr. Gary is survived by his Fiancé, Donna Nelson; children, Destiny (Daniel) Belen Lawson, Rheanna Lawson and Justin Darden; sisters, Karen (Mike) Kelly, Elaine (Eddie) Miller and Denise Staten; brothers, Zane (Debbie) Pendry, Donald (Rose) Pendry, and Carlton; preceded in death by, brothers, Ronald Pendry and Virgil Pendry Jr. Gary was a loving and charismatic father to his two girls, Destiny and Rheanna. Anyone that knew him could sense the pride he had in being their father. Every Sunday he enjoyed watching the Panthers with his best friend and Fiancé, Donna and daughter, Destiny. When his daughters were around his true personality came out. You could find him shooting the beebee gun or pretending to play guitar on it. He found joy in the little moments, like dancing out on the carport to 90's Country, a good day of fishing at the beach with Rheanna and Donna. Or tending to his vegetable garden every year. This was a man known for always telling a good joke. He captivated every room and will continue to be the life of the party in our memories. At this time a Celebration of Life will be held in Matheny, West Virginia in the spring of 2021 due to covid19.
