Fred Walter Mundie Sr., 85, passed away September 13, 2022, at Avendelle Assisted Living in Wingate, NC. He was born April 26, 1937, to the late Thomas Mundie and Elverna Beck Mundie, both of Drums, PA. Fred married the love of his life on March 3, 1962, in Drums, PA, and were happily married for over 60 years.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Monroe.

Fred is preceded in passing by his sister, Elizabeth Mundie Zawadski of Virginia Beach, VA.; daughter-in-law, Julie Hamby Mundie of Marco Island, FL; and nephew, Michael David Heiser of Drums, PA.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith Heiser Mundie of Monroe; son, Fred Mundie, Jr. of Marco Island, FL; son, Keith Mundie and wife, Robin Davis Mundie of Marshville; daughter, Karen Mundie Guion and husband, Randy Guion of Monroe; brother, Tim Mundie of Drums, PA; heart son, Tim Coffey and wife, Karen of Monroe; grandchildren: Chase Mundie and wife, Camdyn of New Salem, Chloe Mundie of Monroe, Jessica Guion of Monroe, Olivia Mundie of Marco Island, FL, and William Guion of Monroe; great-grandchildren: Winsley Paige Mundie of New Salem, Mason, Carter and Bryce Ponds of Unionville, Hollis and Clara Gordon of Waxhaw; and a beloved sister- and brothers-in-law, along with numerous nieces and nephews in PA and VA.
