Frank W. Long Jr., 78, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021. He was born December 24, 1942 to the late Frank William Long Sr. and Hattie Mae Long Barbee. Frank is also preceded in death by his siblings, Homer Hancock, Jesse Long, Elizabeth Starnes, Macie Benton, and Dorothy Long. The family will host A Celebration of Life Service in Mr. Long's honor at a later date. Frank is survived by his daughter, Robin Manus (Bryon); grandson, Jordan Manus (Holly); granddaughter, Hunter Manus; great-granddaughter, Audrey Manus; son, Daniel Hinson; siblings, Robert Long, Eddie Long, James "Jimmy" Long, Betty Hill, and Ruby Baker, and many nieces, nephews, and other special friends and family. Frank was a great friend and support for many people. He also took pride in his accomplishment as a sucessful business owner of Long's Fire Protection Services in Waxhaw since 1984. Frank remained a resident of the Waxhaw area for 45 years where he had many friends and made a ton of memories. When Frank wasn't at work he enjoyed playing golf and going fishing. Frank's friends will miss and cherish the moments they got to spend together at the Mineral Springs gas station drinking coffee and giving people a hard time. Frank's memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Long Family.
