Eddie Tarlton, 68, passed away October 4, 2023. He was born June 17, 1955, in Monroe, North Carolina. Eddie was married to the love of his life for 50 years, Dixie Taylor Tarlton. She preceded him in death by 10 months. They had one son, Leslie James Tarlton. Eddie was a brick mason and construction by trade. He learned this trade from his father, Howard Tarlton. He was raised that we do our best work for everyone. They are known for their hard work and penmanship.

He was well known in the community. He served the Lord as a Sunday school, teacher, deacon and working with the seniors of Unionville Baptist church for many years. He and his school class supported Missions4Jesus/Operation Save by doing a Chicken and Dumpling supper for many years in the Unionville community. He traveled around to churches in our area to bring God's word to many as he could.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

He will be truly missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

Eddie was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Dixie Taylor Tarlton and his mother, Ethel Furr Tarlton.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Leslie James Tarlton (Geraldine); father, Marvin Howard Tarlton and his wife, Dottie; brother, Marvin Ray Tarlton and his wif, Tammy; sister, Lisa Starnes and her husband, David; nephews and nieces, Jodi Lennon (Zach), Jacob Tarlton (Tira), Megan Martinez (Fernando), Kesley Kay, and Amber Starnes; great-nieces and nephew, Evelyn, Aspen, Kix, Andrés, and Zander.

Eddie's life ended well for on the day he died he was sharing God's Word and loving Christ until the end.
