Earnest Carroll Huss, 89, passed away peacefully in his home of Monroe, NC on August 31, 2024. He was born October 11, 1934 to the late Vernon and Leona Huss in Lincolnton, NC and retired from the Textile Industry in Monroe.

Carroll was a hardworking man, wonderful provider and loved his family more than anything. His pride and joy was his baby doll, Ruthell who he was married to for 68 years. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. You could always count on him to be there no matter what. If you knew him, you loved him. He loved hunting, fishing and racing, sharing those passions with all 3 of his sons, guiding them every step of the way. We will cherish these memories forever and always carry him in our hearts.

Carroll is survived by his wife, Ruthell Huss of Monroe, NC. His son, Reggie Huss of Monroe, NC. Son, Nickie Huss (Lisa) of Lancaster, SC. Son, Brent Huss (Paula) of Monroe, NC. Brother, David Huss (Sandra) of Lincolnton, NC. Brother, Lewis Huss (Barbara) of Anderson, SC.

His 8 grandchildren, Kelly Parker of Monroe, NC. Billy Harris of Monroe, NC. Ashley Mauney of Waxhaw, NC. Staci Huss of Lancaster, SC. Courtney Phillips of Monroe, NC. Brady Ramsey of Rock Hill, SC. Hunter Ramsey of Lancaster, SC and Sonya Griffin of Lancaster, SC; And his 10 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Vernon and Leona Huss, 2 brothers, Joe and Buddy Huss and sister, Helen.

At this time there are no arrangements as we are spending time together as a family and cherishing our memories.
