We lost Donald Lee Kerr to heaven on February 17, 2023. He passed just a mere 24 hours after accepting Jesus Christ into his life. Donald was 59 years old. His parents were Russell Sr. and Gloria, who both predeceased him. Donald is survived by his son Matthew, his two brothers, Russell Jr. and Kenneth, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Whatever Donald was passionate about, he studied and mastered it, whether it was music, baking, exercise, cooking or gardening. Donald was an awesome trumpet player, frequently playing beautiful solos in church. After high school he pursued playing the trumpet in the Army band and was stationed in Brooklyn, NY. During his stay in the Army he decided to become a baker. He apprenticed at Quattlander's Bakery while in the Army. After the Army he took a job as a baker at Quarrlender's Bakery. He mastered baking and eventually bought that bakery. He also acquired two other bakeries along the way. Donald also worked at BJ's Wholesale as a manager until early retirement.

Donald was an awesome cook and gardener. He always wanted to please and help others so he frequently shared his baking, cooking and garden produce with friends and neighbors. He always received rave reviews for his food. Donald will be missed by many.
