Donald Edward Christie was born on February 26, 1964 in Long Beach, CA to Jacqueline and Edward Christie. Carol and Don were high school sweethearts at Pacifica High School and were later married in Orange, CA at St John's Lutheran Church on September 23, 1989. Their daughter Alexandra was born in 1993 and their son Blake in 1995. He also had three grandchildren from his daughter Alex and her husband Aaron; Carter, Reagan and one on the way. They lived in Garden Grove, CA for 26 happy and adventure filled years before deciding to take on their newest adventure; a cross country move to Charlotte, NC. They made a new home and continued their adventures in life together in Waxhaw, NC. Don's ride came to an end on July 23, 2023 peacefully in the comfort of his home.

We will be celebrating Don's life on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00pm at Corinth Baptist Church in Monroe, NC.

He was an incredible father, husband, and everyone's rock; the jack of all trades, a no nonsense vintage bike loving family man. We will miss hanging out with you in your man cave and soaking up all of your knowledge about life and Schwinn bikes. We would give the world to hear about your favorite bike again or what project you were working on at the time. We promise to carry that passion on wherever we go, remembering everything you taught us along the way. You've built a beautiful life, half pipes, waterfalls, bars, bikes, bed frames, fire places, and relationships that will never be forgotten. Your bikes will stay clean, the man cave will continue to showcase your legacy, and the projects will continue. We love you.
