Daniel Wade Quick

DQ was 47 when he passed away in Monroe, NC on August 15, 2025.

He was born on February 14, 1978 in Charlotte, NC.

Daniel is predeceased by his father, Perry Quick, and his grandfather, James Taylor.

Daniel lived in Lancaster with his Mom, Nancy Taylor Quick, sister, Holly Quick Palmer and brother, Jason Quick during his childhood. There he attended Lancaster schools.

Daniel leaves his daughters, Lily Quick 11 and Eleanor Quick 6 of Monroe. Whom he cherished.

His grandmother, Ingeborg Taylor who lives in Monroe at the age of 103.

His niece Savannah Palmer Coxwell and her family, Aunts, Uncles, and all his cousins will miss Daniel's quiet demeanor and infectious laugh.

Daniel worked at Hendrix Chevrolet of Monroe but most folks know him from 131 Main in Blakeney.

He had that opportunity after opening Firebirds at Stone Crest, then Nobles in Southpark.

Daniel was an excellent chef and bartender. His daughters say their favorite dish was his biscuits and gravy.

Daniel was the type of guy everyone loved. Easy going, good hearted and loyal. You could always depend on him. His meticulous attention to details and his drive for excellence showed in every day of his life.

His lifelong friends will tell you his approach was "Sure, let's go have fun!" And they always had an incredible time, even when they managed to get into then escape trouble.

His coworkers described Daniel as a great friend, quiet but focused, absolute staple, salt of the earth, top tier, genuine guy.

Daniel fought stomach cancer with a vengeance! And he wanted to thank the Hospice House of Monroe for making his last days comfortable.
