Charles Alexander Sweatt of Monroe, NC passed away on Saturday February 6, 2021 at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by His father Johnny A. Sweatt, Sr, his mother Iva Lucille Passmore Sweatt and his brother Johnny A. Sweatt, Jr. Charles is survived by his niece Catherine Outlaw, his nephews Wesley (Tara) Sweatt and Andy (Lauren) Sweatt, his Sister-In-Law Cathy Ivey Sweatt, his uncle Jerry (Liane) Passmore as well as his cousins and longtime friends. By his own testimony, Charles was forgiven of all his sins when he asked Jesus into his heart as his Redeemer. He often said "there is no condemnation in Christ" and that was a source of comfort to Charles throughout his life. Because of Charlie's faith and the everlasting promises of God we celebrate the fact that Charlie is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and has been reunited with family members who awaited him in heaven. Charles had many struggles, sorrows and shortcomings in his earthly life but we know that when he "passed through the valley of the shadow of death" our Lord walked with him and he has now been made whole and well and is dwelling in the presence of the Most High. Our family wishes to thank all those who have extended their friendship and shown kindness to Charles through the years. He would encourage everyone to find Jesus and make Him the Lord of your life!
