Charles "Buddy" Jones, 69, of Pageland, SC, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Atrium Health Union due to an illness.

Buddy was born in Banner Elk, NC to John Hardin and Gertie Mae Jones. He spent most of his childhood in the Johnson City, TN area. As an adult, he moved to Columbia, SC and Tampa, FL, respectively. He had a passion for being a truck driver which led to owning a wrecker company in Tampa, FL for several years before moving to Pageland, SC where he continued to drive for various companies throughout his career. After he retired, he was a proud volunteer firefighter with High Point Fire Department in Pageland, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Matt Miller. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Robin; daughters Courtney Sherbo (Stephen) and Misty Berrier (Jeff); step-daughters Andre Cole (Ryan) and Elizabeth Barrett; step-sons Will Barrett (Megan) and Richard Barrett; grandchildren, Ellie and Caroline Sherbo, Richard and Andrew Owen, and Ashton Cooke; step-grandchildren Amelia and Aaron Cole and Alahnah Barrett; sister, Goldie Hicks; brother, Larry Keeling (Brenda); special cousins, Bill Elliott and Freddy Julian; along with many other cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will host a memorial service at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Holland Funeral Service & Crematory, 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112, and will receive visitors following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Union County or Lancaster County, South Carolina Animal Shelter.
