Mr. Cecil C. Thomas, 96, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Novant Matthews.

He was a lifelong resident of the Hamilton Crossroads Community. He proudly served in the US Army. After returning home, he established a painting company. He enjoyed working with his customers for multiple years. Cecil was an avid fisherman and gardener until his decline in health.

He was preceded in death seven months prior by his wife of 71 years, Alice Hinson Thomas. Those left to cherish his memory are daughters, Rita T. Plattenberger (Richard), Linda D. Thomas, and brother, Keith Thomas (Joyce). He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

A private graveside service followed by interment was held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Olive Branch Cemetery. Officiating the service was Reverend Randy Jackson.
