Cecil Roger Hartsell Sr., 75, passed away October 21, 2025. He was born in Concord, North Carolina on March 7, 1950 to the late Clarence Hartsell and Nellie Jane Hartsell. Cecil will be remembered for the love he showed to his beloved wife, Nancy, and his family.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1:00pm until 4:00pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the family's home, 2618 Walden Lane, Concord, NC 28025.

Cecil's heart was devoted to his wife, Nancy, with whom he shared a lifetime of precious moments. The two of them were inseparable and would make time to sneak away to the mountains as often as they could. Additionally, the beach held a special place in Cecil's heart. It was his sanctuary where he found joy and relaxation, often casting a line with his sons and grandchildren.

Cecil embraced the simple pleasures of life, finding joy in activities that brought his family together. Whether it was riding motorcycles with his sons, hosting family gatherings during holidays, or enjoying a quiet movie night with Nancy. Cecil will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy Hartsell, sons, Cecil Roger Hartsell Jr., Anthony Wayne Hartsell (Victoria), and Payne Lee Hartsell (Brandee); sister, Donnie Hartsell; and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
