Cecil Franklin Griffin, 73, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26, 2023. He was born July 4, 1950, to the late Ben Franklin Griffin and Delene Deese Griffin. Cecil was a devout husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a godly man who loved the Lord and his church, Bible Baptist Tabernacle. He was a pillar of the community and enjoyed cooking out and cherished the times he was able to spend with his family and friends who fondly called him "Pop." Cecil was a carpenter by trade and loved watching NASCAR racing and getting to see old vintage cars.

Although we are deeply saddened by the loss of Cecil, we find comfort in knowing that he is finally in heaven with his beloved wife, Sue Griffin, where he has always longed to be.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Bible Baptist Tabernacle Church, 2900 Walkup Avenue, Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00pm until 2:45pm. Mr. Griffin will be laid to rest at 11:00am on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, Cecil is preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Sue Griffin, sisters, Geneva Costner, and Rotha Gunn, and brother, Ray Griffin.

Those left to cherish his memories include his two sons, Tim Griffin (Candice), and Rodney Griffin; brothers, Earl Griffin (Shirley), and Mitchell Griffin (Carolyn); sister, Everil Howell (Donald), grandchildren, Taylor Linville, Colin Griffin (Mia), Jared Griffin, Ethan Griffin, and Tristan Griffin; great-grandchildren, Emma Griffin, Addison Griffin, Colton Linville, Carson Linville, and Palmer Pate, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Tabernacle Church Treasured Saints.
