After 91 1/2 years of a most wonderful life, Mr. Boyce Brady Poplin has entered the gates of his heavenly reward.

A Memorial Service to honor Mr. Poplin's life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Lighthouse Family Church 2028 Wesley Chapel Rd. Indian Trail, NC 28079. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00pm until 1:45pm.

Mr. Poplin was married to Myrna Sue Stanton, his sweetheart of 70 years. Together, they raised 5 children: Debbie Engle (Ed), Sherry Poplin Privette (Billy), Joanie Hunter Burns (Doug), Jerry Poplin (Karen) and Marilyn Harding (Mike). He has 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He has one surviving sister, Shirley Poplin Bradshaw.

Mr. Poplin was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Bertha Poplin, his mother and father-in-law Luke and Edna Stanton, siblings, Hoyle Poplin, Ted Poplin, Betty Smith, Joyce McGee, Evelyn Helms, and Judy Rochester, his daughter Sherry, and sons in law Billy Privette and William Hunter.

Mr. Poplin proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He owned and operated Poplin Machine Company for over 50 years. He was a gentle giant with a servant's heart.

Mr. Poplin will be remembered for his humility, his generosity, and his unfailing love of family. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and it was his desire that all have the opportunity to know Jesus as their personal Savior. He will be greatly missed.
