Obituary

Bobby Lee Warren, 78, born in Charlotte and a resident of Marshville, passed away on November 13, 2025.

Born with a natural gift for understanding how things worked, Bobby spent his life as a talented diesel mechanic who could fix just about anything. His hands were always busy, his work ethic unmatched, and his determination steady and sure. Despite hard life circumstances and a tough childhood, Bobby taught himself everything he knew and generously passed that knowledge on to others. He built everything he had through grit, skill, and the kind of perseverance that defined his character.

Bobby had an adventurous spirit and a love of the open road. He traveled the world on his beloved Gold Wing, collecting stories and miles of memories along the way. He was often the one behind the camera, capturing moments rather than modeling for them. When he wasn't riding, he was always crafting something around the house and when he wasn't doing that, he could be found lounging or napping in his favorite chair.

Bobby's tireless energy and drive were known by all who loved him. He was always in motion, always working, and it's no surprise that his lifelong work ethic earned him one of his most memorable nicknames: "Mule." To his family, he was not only "Mule," but also "Daddy," "Hero," and "Pawpaw" a man of many roles, each lived with devotion, strength, and heart.

He is preceded in death by his mother Beulah Crump, father Gilbert Warren, and sister Nancy Huffman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie; his sons Mark (Allison) and Jeff (and the late Lisa), and daughter Tammy (Elton); seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward his stories, his laughter, and the lessons he taught through example.

Bobby will be remembered for his hard work, his lovable hard-headedness, his boundless generosity, and the fierce independence that shaped the way he lived his life.

Treasured in our hearts you'll stay, until we meet again someday. We love you always and forever.
