Mr. Bobby Lee Helms, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He was born August 11, 1939, to the late Dowd and Hester Helms. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bobby cherished every moment he was able to spend with his grandkids, as they were truly the light of his life. He was also a dedicated member of Forest Hills Baptist Church for nearly 20 years.

Services will be held from the graveside at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, 1106 W. Sandy Ridge Road, Monroe, NC 28112.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Loraine Fincher Helms, brothers, Luther Helms, Grady Helms, Worth Helms, and Harold Helms, sisters, Ruth Helms, and Sis Helms.

He is survived by his daughter, Renee Starnes (Jack), brother, Charles Helms (Brenda), sister, Shirley Thomas (Larry), grandchildren, Justin Starnes (Lindsay), and Jason Starnes (Jessie), six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
