Anthony "Tony" Jones, 58, passed away peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, December 17, 2022. He was born September 22, 1964, to John W. Jones and the late Barbara Treichel. Tony was a wonderful and kind man.He had a wicked sense of humor who was always able to match his wife's witty sarcasm. He was was orginally from Hagerstown, but traveled many places throughout the world during his service in the military. Once he and his family landed in Monroe, NC, they would participate in the Austim Speaks Walk every year. He could also often be found cheering on his favorite football team, The Miami Hurricanes. Tony will truly be missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

The family will host a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Melissa Jones; children, Jermiah Jones of Vicksburg, MS, Summer (Jones) Blackwell of Blue Ridge, TX, Derek Jones of Monroe, NC; Jennifer Robinson of Belfast, NY, and Aaron Robinson of Sinclairville, NY; father, Bill Jones of Hagerstown, MD; brother, John Jones of Hagerstown, MD; sister, Laura Jones of Hagerstown, MD; ten grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Tony is preceded in passing by his mother, Barbara Treichel, and father-in-law, Daryl Thayer.
