Alvis Cantillo Barraza, 58, passed away March 6th, 2023. He was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, April 21st 1964, to Lira and Victor Manuel Cantillo.

Alvis was more than just a father and a husband. To many, he was a great friend, a coach, and a remarkable human being. He was loving, empathetic, calm, patient, honest, and had a great sense of humor. To those who knew him, his passion for the beautiful game, soccer, and his love for salsa music was unparalleled. He was what you would call a "Juniorista a morir" or "a Junior FC fan till death". His loved ones will continue to remember him for all his unconditional love and nobleness.

He is survived by his partner, Sissy Polo; and children, Denilson Cantillo and Giancarlo Mendoza.

Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday, March 11th at 3PM at Holland Funeral Service, Monroe, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cantillo family via the Tribute Fund (link below).
