Mr. Alfred Anthony Harris, 66, passed away peacefully Friday, May 7, 2021. He was born in Washington State on March 24, 1955 to the late Edward Harris and Carmen Harris. A public viewing will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. Alfred was a kind and loving man. Alfred leaves behind his loving, significant other of 7 years, Fran Seighman. Alfred was a bus driver for Union County Public Schools. He loved the students he drove the bus for. He would make every effort to attend the students' sporting events. He would even decorate the inside of his bus for the holidays just to provide the students with a joyous experience. He would drive the school band, sports teams, and even drive for field trips. When Alfred was not working, he would cook and spend time with his sweet Fran and his beloved dog, Oliver. Alfred will be truly missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hometown Heroes of Union County.
