Mrs. Monica Alexander Blackwell, 60, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020. Mrs. Blackwell was born on September 19, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Roy and Mary Crump Alexander. She will be remembered as a loving devoted wife, and a great mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Fairfield Community Church, 3129 NC-205, Marshville, NC 28103, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her husband, Charles Blackwell; son, Arash Anvari (Maryam); daughter, Angela Potts (Jimmy); brother, Ronnie Alexander (Karen); and sister Carla Little; grandchildren, Courtney Starnes, Brittany Starnes, Jayla Potts, Makenzie Potts, Darian Anvari; and 6 great-grandchildren.
