Michelle Lee Hunter, a devoted wife and mother of three, died unexpectedly on January 19, 2019 at the age of 32 while at home. Michelle is survived by her husband Darrell Kenneth Welch; her children, sons Mason and Riley and daughter Aubrey; her mother, Catherine Ann Hunter and father Scott L. Hunter; her grandmother Elizabeth Clancy; her brother James (Jim) Hunter; sisters, Jennifer Block, Erin Hunter, and Alicia Rogers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Michelle was born in Sparta, New Jersey September 30, 1986 and moved with her parents to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1988. On May 24, 2008, she married Darrell, whom she met through mutual friends. Together they welcomed their 2 sons and beautiful daughter, who were the most important part of her life. Michelle was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed decorating and making holidays special. she also enjoyed gardening. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her. A memorial service for Michelle will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11;00 AM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church (Latin Campus) 7424 East W. T. Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC. Pastor John Harrill will officiate. Holland Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
