Michael Ray
Warriax
July 7, 1944 – March 13, 2026
Michael “Mike” Ray Warriax, 81, of Marshville, NC, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, while on a long-anticipated and much-loved trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born July 7, 1944.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. Visitation will be held immediately following the service. Mr. Warriax will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mike was a kind and gentle man who never met a stranger. He loved his family deeply and found great joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a passion for race cars, enjoyed vintage cars and trucks, and spent many years as a truck driver, where he found peace on the open road. He also loved to travel and share laughter with those around him.
One of his most cherished recent adventures was riding a train to Las Vegas with his nephew, Jerry Freeman, to attend a NASCAR race—something he had been looking forward to and truly enjoyed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jo Warriax; his parents, C.S. and Alta Warriax; and his brother, Dana Warriax.
He is survived by his daughters, Tami Mills (David) and Michelle Edwards; his grandchildren, Daniel Mills (Stephanie), Clint Mills, Amanda Carter (Will), Joe Edwards, and Jennifer Edwards; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mike will be remembered for his big heart, his humor, and the love he had for his family.
