Melody Bernette Dixon, 55, passed away September 6, 2017 in her Charlotte, NC home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Robert and the late Augustus Talton. A service to celebrate Melody's life will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Chickawa Outdoor Center at the Saluda River Club located at 629 Bimini Twist Cir, Lexington, South Carolina 29072. Melody is survived by her husband, Joseph Addison Dixon; son, Jay Austin Dixon; daughters, Erin Nichole Mick (Eric), and Katelen Rene' Knef (Dustin); brother, Robert Talton Jr (Cheryl); and four grandchildren, Tyler James Mick, Caiden Joseph Mick, Hendrix Michael Knef, and Lennon Rene' Knef. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for the future education of Melody's grandchildren who she loved and cherished.
