IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Elizabeth
Stack
January 23, 1936 – December 24, 2025
Mary Elizabeth Stack-Logan
January 23, 1936 - December 24, 2025
Mary Elizabeth was most herself in open spaces, where strength, independence, and instinct mattered more than words. There was something about horses—their power, spirit, and quiet understanding—that reflected who she was: strong-willed, intuitive, and unafraid to stand her ground.
Before that chapter of her life, Mary built a highly successful career in interior design in New York City. She was talented, driven, and fearless in her work, earning respect for her eye, her confidence, and her ability to make bold choices. She thrived in a demanding world and left her mark through creativity, discipline, and determination.
In time, Mary followed a different calling. She relocated to North Carolina, where she devoted herself to the rescue and care of horses on her property, Ginger’s Haven. What began as love and instinct grew into a mission—one rooted in patience, responsibility, and deep respect for these animals. Caring for the horses became central to her life and reflected the same strength and commitment she brought to everything she did.
A feisty Irish woman to her core, Mary lived life on her own terms. She was fiercely loyal, deeply loving, and never one to pretend to be anything other than herself. ‘‘Tis Herself” as the Irish would say. She spoke her mind, stood her ground, and left a lasting impression wherever she went.
Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Monroe, North Carolina, and took great pride and quiet joy in creating rosary beads for families around the world, a practice that reflected her faith, patience, and care for others.
Family was deeply important to Mary. She was the beloved wife of Francesco (Frank) V. LoGiudice, the cherished daughter of Edna Rimel Stack and John Stack, a devoted sister to Jack, Robert, Peter, and Jimmy, and a proud and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and their families.
Mary also shared a rare and enduring friendship with her dear friend Kim Pile whom she met in North Carolina. From the very beginning, the two felt an immediate bond. Their friendship was built on trust, laughter, and a deep understanding that required few words.
Mary will be remembered for her strength, sharp wit, loyalty, and unmistakable presence. Her life was full, layered, and deeply lived. She leaves behind her beloved Buttercup, Isabelle, Cinnamon Stick and Cisco as well as her precious Wyatt and protector Stacky along with a legacy of independence, compassion, and stories that will continue to be told by those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held in the state of Florida. Date and time to be announced. Mary’s wish was to be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Frank.
