Mary Charlotte Meggs, lovingly known as Charlotte, age 80, went home to be with her Lord on December 30, 2025. Born on January 24, 1945, in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Marshall Benton Meggs and Hallie Almond Meggs. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie Meggs and Thomas Meggs, and sister, Lorene Meggs. 

She had a gift for making things with her hands. She found joy in sewing, crafting and creating. She also treasured more than anything time spent with her family and friends. The highlight of her weekday afternoons were "Gams' little boys" running over to her house as soon as they got home from school for their favorite cookies. She loved her church and church family. She was "Miss Charlotte" to them. She loved cracking jokes with her Sunday School class, church friends, and especially her Pastor, Chad Austin.

A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Charlotte will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Faulks Baptist Church, followed by burial at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM prior to the funeral. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lynne Murray (Frank), and her son, Tony Pope; granddaughters, Meghann Belk (Dustin), Tori Pope and Riley Pope; her beloved great-grandsons, Gunner and Canton Belk, all of Marshville, NC; brothers, Parks Meggs and Steve Meggs. 

Charlotte is now rejoicing in the promise of eternal life, resting in the peace of her Savior. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
