Dateline: Marshville Mary "Jane" (Elko) Bailey passed away on July 11, 2018.� She was born March 24, 1932 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. She married the love of her life Jack Bailey on November 25, 1950 and had two daughters, Kathleen (Kathy) and Jackie. Jane and Jack lived in Kingston, NY for many years before moving to Marshville, NC in 1988. In addition to being a mother and housemaker, Jane previously worked as a phone operator and help run their family-owned businesses – a jewelry store and a clock shop. Jane was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ann Elko, two sisters - Dorothy and Betty, a brother - Charles, and two sons-in law. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Jack Bailey, two daughters - Jackie Schacht, also of Marshville, NC and Kathy Land of Lumberton TX, six grandchildren – Becky, Sara, Joey, Amy Virginia and Melanie, six great grandchildren – Kourtney, Ana, Catalina, Anderson, Laney and Kenneth, and her beloved dog Annie. Jane was an avid collector of dolls and anything native American and was a dog-lover for her entire life. �She was woman of faith and was a devout "prayer warrior" with a charitable heart. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those she has touched over her blessed 86 years. Visitation with Jane's family will be� held at Centerview Baptist Church in Marshville on Saturday, July 14 at 2pm and the funeral service will follow at 3pm.
