Louise Tice James, 91, passed away March 9, 2019. Louise was born in Union County, NC on February 10, 1928 to the late Dwight and Ollie Griffin Tice. Louise was a precious soul and was always sassy and classy, most importantly she loved her family deeply. Following her retirement from Barclays American Financial Inc. she later opened her own florist Flowers & Things located in Marshville. Louise was the past State President of the Business Professional Women's Club. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Austin Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Whitley and Rev. Terry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Don James; daughter, Carolyn Haigler (Joe); grandchildren, Robin Haigler Nassef, Scott Haigler, Erika Peterson, Jenna James; great-grandchildren, Allison Nassef, Hailey Nassef, Khoury Nassef, Lindsey Nassef, Shawn Peterson, Jacob Peterson, and Kaylan Haigler. In addition to her parents she joins in Heaven her loving husband, Bill L. James; and brother, Larry Tice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Austin Grove Baptist Church.
