Lemuel Samuel Belk Jr., 85, of Mount Croghan, South Carolina, passed away on March 25, 2018. He was born in Sumter, South Carolina on August 5, 1932 to the late Lemuel Sinclair�Belk and Nina Hodge. A funeral service to celebrate Mr. Sam's life will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Indian Trail on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 3:30 PM. The family will receive friends at 2:30 PM, prior to the funeral service.�� Mr. Belk leaves behind his sons, Lemuel Samuel Belk III, Bryon Belk, Donald Belk, Edward Belk (Rosita); daughters, Nina Winston, Vicky Gerwitz; sister, Dorothy Ann Bilton; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; stepson, Bobby Shultz; aunt, Lottie May Johnson; niece, Teresa Brown; and nephew, Johnny Lee Brown Jr. Along with his parents, Mr. Belk was preceded in death by his step-father, Wilson Bryant Hodge; brother, Ira Alvis Belk; great-grandson, Aiden Barringer; and niece, Linda Grooms.
