Kenneth Lane Greene, 70, of Monroe, NC passed away on October 16, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born at his home in Union County on July 18, 1952, son to the late Barron Lester Greene and Blanche Reeder Greene.

Mr. Greene worked at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, Plastics Division for 40 years as an Extrusion Technician. He enjoyed dirt track racing with his son, gardening, rabbit hunting, taking care of his many animals, helping others, visiting and talking with friends and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Mr. Greene is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara (Bobbie) Greene; one son, Brian Greene and daughter-in-law, Shawna Greene; as well as one grandson, Carson Greene; two brothers, Brady Greene (Ruth) and Boyd Greene (Wanda); two sisters, Judy Adams and Sheila Griffin (Eddie); and sister-in-law, Vickie Greene; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Greene was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Allen and Albert Greene; and brother-in-law, Johnny Adams.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain Springs Baptist Church, 2509 Mountain Springs Church Road, Monroe, NC with the service following at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Joe Stroud and Pastor Barry Byrd.
